Intuitive Eating

Letting go of diet culture and reconnecting with your body’s own wisdom.

You were born knowing how to eat

Many people come to nutrition counseling feeling overwhelmed by years of dieting, conflicting nutrition advice and uncertainty about what they “should” or “shouldn’t” eat. Over time, it can become difficult to trust your body’s signals or feel confident in your food choices.

At Ahara Nutrition Counseling, we use Intuitive Eating principles to help you reconnect with your body, challenge diet culture and develop a more flexible and peaceful relationship with food. This work is not about following another set of rules. It’s about learning to listen, trust and care for yourself.

What is Intuitive Eating?

Intuitive Eating is an evidence-based framework created by dietitians Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch that supports individuals in reconnecting with their internal cues around food. Rather than relying on external rules, diets or labels of “good” and “bad” foods, Intuitive Eating encourages trust, flexibility and body attunement.

Intuitive Eating is not another diet, it is a process of unlearning diet culture and rebuilding a relationship with food based on compassion and self-care.
